Brazilian Girls is one very sexy, very intelligent band. When I listen to Sabina Sciubba's lyric, I hear my lover both teasing and scolding me, to be a better lover, to be a better man.

Brazilian Girls came out of Nublu, a hot East Village club with no sign, just a blue light above the door. Nublu is the home of Wax Poetic and also launched Norah Jones. You never know who's sitting in at Nublu. None of the Brazilian Girls is Brazilian, but Nublu is a place where the Brazilians go because it's hot.

Sabina started the set holding strings that stretched all the way across the stage. It wasn't clear whether she was bound by them or using them to control the set, puppet or puppeteer. In one of the frames you can see her letting go.
