   Marguerita is an artist who is best known as an illustrator, but also works in painting, sculpture, jewelry and comics.
   Marguerita grew up in Brazil where she was one of the first women to work in the press. She first published at age 10.
  By age 16, her drawings were in OEstado de Sao Paulo, Brazil's leading newspaper and she was designing the FolHa de Sao Paulo, Brazil's number two paper.
   She created the title sequence for the hit Brazilian soap opera, ORebu, for TV Globo, and published the comic strip Margarida, the Incredible Modern Woman, for Editora Tres. She appeared in Graphis 179.
   Since moving to New York City, Marguerita has worked for The New York Times, The Village Voice, IBM, Viking Books, Cartier, Versace, Mario Valentino, and Alain Mikli.
   Radium Systems is now using Marguerita's art as a logo for MIT's $100 laptop which Radium is launching in Brazil as part of the 'One Laptop Per Child' initiative.
